On Thursday, the focus of our conversations widens. “Community” is a word used in many different ways, giving different angles for our conversations.
The small groups at DYMO are called “church families” – not something that replaces the family at home, but a different group that shares a lot of time together and becomes very close-knit through the week. This year, the families were named after the tribes of Israel.

We began the day with Mass bright and early, and didn’t slow down much at all until 11:30 at night.

Tuesday we examined the subject of “Survivor Alliances” – the positives and the negatives – and “Christian Alliances”, to focus on the positive.

Here at Camp Pinewood, the weather has been beautiful, the students are fantastic, the staff are smiling… and all on a Monday! Jesus made the disciples breakfast on the beach, canoes were deployed indoors, music was made (repeatedly and variously), and technological things were quirky. All in all, an excellent day.
