Getting Ready
Five days to go! The camp staff is scrambling through their to-do lists and updating their packing lists. Paperwork in order? Check. Workshop materials? Check. Bug spray? Hmmm. Absolutely gotta have that, so I’ll have to find it or get some.
We are prepared for groups, games and good times; community, camaraderie and a campfire; presentations, perspective and prayer partners; food, fun and photos; silliness, sand and sacraments; music and moderate mayhem… not necessarily in that order.
If you’re coming – you can set any anxieties aside and breathe easy.
If you’re staying at home
but want to keep tabs on the rest of us – check back with this blog to look for updates.
Oh, and don’t forget the bug spray.

DYMO Camp is THE highlight of my year every year! The first thing that has gone on my calendar every year! I’ve seen this week turn so many lives around and literally save lives! One of the best things we have going for youth in the Grand Rapids Diocese!
One of the “safest” places young people will find where they can be accepted for who they are and treasured for that, a place where they don’t have to pretend to be someone they’re not so that they can fit in and be accepted!
This week-long experience is the closest thing to heaven I’ve ever experienced! That’s why I keep going back every year so that I can help make this a life-changing experience for so many wonderful and marvelous faith-filled youth! That’s why 2009 will be my 24th year as a DYMO Camp Staff person!
