Camp Staff Pray, Play and Plan

The weekend of March 14-15, the volunteers that make up the DYMO Camp staff gathered at Camp Pinewood for an overnight retreat, team-building and planning. The countless hours of preparation needed for Camp (that began in October) continued as the directors and staff dug into the theme.
What does a group talk about for over 16 hours of intense time together? Safety. Spirituality. Goals. Group Dynamics. Communication. Clear focus. Scripture. Sound Theology. Ideas. Imagination. Songs. Silliness. Crayons. Cameras. You get the idea.
Kim led the staff on an exploration of effective presentations. Julia led the staff in a fresh reflection on the movement of the Holy Spirit in our lives and ministry. And the directors (Dianna, Bob and Sally) led us through a bit of the organizational work that makes Camp possible.
What’s our theme? We aren’t saying yet. But we’re excited to be preparing for these seven days in June! Interested in being a camper? Get your application in as soon as you can!
